Refund Policy

Overview

This Refund Policy explains how PastSmallTalk handles refund requests for paid subscriptions (PST+) and any other purchases made through our service.

By subscribing to or purchasing from PastSmallTalk, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this policy.

Section 02

Seller & Operator

PastSmallTalk is operated by May Software Inc. (“May”, “May, Inc.”), the legal entity behind the service and the seller of PST+ subscriptions. All references to “PastSmallTalk”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this Refund Policy refer to May Software Inc. Paddle acts as our merchant of record and processes payments on behalf of May Software Inc. Digital Nature of Our Service

PastSmallTalk is a digital service. Access to paid features (including PST+) is delivered immediately upon successful payment and is consumed in real time.

Because of this digital nature, all sales are considered final. We reserve the right to deny any refund request, for any reason, at our sole discretion.

Section 04

Exceptions

We want you to have a great experience. While refunds are not guaranteed, we're happy to make exceptions where reasonable — for example, duplicate charges, accidental purchases that have not been used, or serious service issues we were unable to resolve.

To request an exception, please email support@pastsmalltalk.com from the email address on your account. Include the date of the charge and a short description of what happened. We typically respond within a few business days.

Section 05

Canceling Your Subscription

You can cancel your PST+ subscription at any time from the Settings page inside the app, or through the Paddle management portal linked there. Cancellation stops future renewals immediately.

Canceling does not automatically issue a refund for the current billing period. You will retain access to PST+ features until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Section 06

Chargebacks

If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us at support@pastsmalltalk.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We can almost always resolve the issue faster and without disruption to your account.

Initiating a chargeback may result in immediate suspension of your account and loss of access to any paid features.

Section 07

How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are issued through our payment provider (Paddle) back to the original payment method. The time it takes for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer — typically 5 to 10 business days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
