When does the deck ship?
The first physical run of PastSmallTalk is in production now. Pre-orders open from this page first — boxes start shipping shortly after. No card is charged until your deck ships.

How much does it cost?
$30 USD for any of the three curated themes — Past Small Talk, Date Night, or Family Dinner. $60 USD for a fully custom deck where every card is yours to write or auto-generate. One-time purchase, no subscription.
What's the difference between curated and custom?
Curated decks ($30) are 162 hand-curated cards from our team across three themes. Custom decks ($60) are yours to write — type every card yourself, auto-generate the deck from a vibe you describe, or mix both. Both come in the same keepsake box.
How does auto-generate work on the custom deck?
On the custom deck builder, you describe the vibe — who you're playing with, where, and the mood — and the builder drafts 162 questions tuned to that context. Every card is editable: rewrite it, regenerate just that one, or clear it and start over. We don't print until you say so.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide. Shipping speed and price varies by region. The first run goes out from a small partner facility — once your address is in, we'll show the most accurate option for your country at checkout.
Do I need an account to buy a deck?
No account needed to buy a curated deck — just an email so we can ship it. The custom deck builder asks you to log in only when you tap auto-write, so the AI questions can be tuned to who you are; you can write all 162 cards by hand without ever creating an account.
Is the physical deck different from the free online game?
The 162 cards in each curated physical deck are a hand-curated selection from the same library that powers the free game online. The physical version is built for in-person nights — date night, dinner parties, road trips — where you don't want a phone in the middle of the table.
Can I gift it?
Yes — the rigid keepsake box was designed to be gift-ready out of the wrap. A printed gift note option will be available at checkout when pre-orders open.
What's your return policy?
If your deck arrives damaged or defective, email team@pastsmalltalk.com within 30 days and we'll replace it free. Unopened decks can be returned within 30 days for a full refund.
